Over the past week, the team at Nelson Bostock Communications has been competing for a £100 prize to spend on “something cultural.”
Entrants had the chance to pitch for the prize fund, explaining how they would spend the money. The only rule was that the winning activity had to be deemed ‘cultural’. The audience then voted for the best idea à la Simon Cowell!
We got a host of weird and wacky ideas; from watching the British Orchestra perform to fancy dress for cats. We even had a plea for an entrance fee into an eventing competition, involving dressage, show jumping and cross country riding.
Today, the winner has been announced. Congratulations to Magda who’ll be using the money to fund a trip to see the World Black Pudding Throwing Championships in Ramsbottom. We’ll let you know how she gets on!
