We’re incredibly spoilt in Soho with food left, right and centre.

Recently we’ve had Dirty Bones and Dishoom open up. In fact, Dishoom only soft-launched today, and still has 50% off until Monday 12th October.

Here are our quick reviews:

Dirty Bones (on the top floor of Kingly Court)

Great setting, especially if it’s a sunny day or a dry night. The spicy chicken burger is delicious, lovely cripsy chicken but a little small and not as spicy as the name suggests. The Dirty fries were superb and essential for any outing there. We’d suggest giving the mac and cheese a miss. Especially as you’ll need room for dessert – the Milk & Cookies dessert is amongst the best we’ve had in London. If you don’t feel like braving it at peak hours, the brunch menu is also great, with Chicken & Waffles a *big* hit.

Dishoom (Kingly Street)

The calamari is a must, and worth going for in its own right. The naan isn’t particularly big or fluffy, but the garlic naan is delicious. Nice and crisp vegetable samosas,  and the masala prawns were pretty epic. For mains, the chicken tikka was tasty but perhaps not spicy enough, while the sali boti was packed with flavour and is pretty generous in size. Avoid the bowl of greens. If you don’t want to go at peak times, check out the breakfast, Harriet said, “the bacon naan with sour cream and chili jam stuff is sensational.”
